As a student, I have practiced in beautiful, welcoming spaces where I felt safe and supported. When I moved to Cape Cod in 2012, I searched for these spaces near my home, but didn’t find exactly what I was looking for. In 2013, I had the opportunity to manage a summer pop up yoga studio and quickly learned that I found that sacred space. September 1, 2013, innerglow yoga was born. The name had been in existence for a few years on a bank account, but I never dreamed that it would be an actual studio.

The word innerglow came to me one day while I was talking with a friend. He said I looked like I was glowing and I responded with, “It’s just my innerglow!” It was summer so I had a tan, but I really did just finish a practice too! That name stuck and made perfect sense to name the studio. We say, “ignite your innerglow,” to initiate a sense to feel the same. After a mat practice, no matter what type of class, we can all agree that we feel better than when we walked in. I opened the doors of innerglow yoga to invite the community to feel what we feel; to perhaps smile a little brighter, to be a little kinder and to love a little deeper.
"The name had been in existence for a few years on a bank account, but I never dreamed that it would be an actual studio."
Each day when I walk in to the studio, I am welcomed by a sense of calm and peace. There is a truth to the practice of all parts of yoga – movement, breathwork, meditation – the residual effects are felt by newcomers and returning students alike. We have created a space that is safe and supportive, always welcoming and a space to ignite your own innerglow.
