Restorative Yoga is a deeply relaxing and meditative experience that focuses on gentle, supported postures and extended holds to release tension and promote healing in both the body and mind. Participants typically use props like blankets, bolsters, and blocks to comfortably maintain poses, allowing the body to relax fully.
Breathing exercises (pranayama) and guided meditations are often integrated to enhance the calming effects, reduce stress, and restore balance. This class is suitable for all levels and is particularly beneficial for those recovering from stress, or injury, or looking to unwind deeply in a peaceful, nurturing environment. We end class with yoga nidra, or yoga sleep, to ensure the calming effects of the experience.
